Step 2 provides four main reports and involves:

1. Benefits of the full diagnostic and global survey
2. Representative’s workshop report

Rather than just take one individual’s point of view, you can use the diagnostic to form a representative organization-wide view about the current management model. You do this by taking a sample of views from selected individuals working in different functions and levels across the organization, typically a business unit. The diagnostic produces an ‘in-company workshop’ report. This benchmarks the average view for the business unit against an alternative model based on ‘Beyond Budgeting’ principles, and shows how the different views within the sample compare with each other. Each workshop member receives their own report showing how their views compare with the (anonymous) range of views of the other members. The respondents may, if they wish, meet together in person, as a workshop, to discuss their views, reconcile any differences, identify any issues, and decide what action they should take.

3. Survey workshop leader’s report
4. Global benchmarking report
5. IBM performance management research report
